Veronica Colegate
Associate Solicitor
Specialist in Employment Law.
Veronica joined Short Richardson & Forth LLP in February 2006 and was promoted to Associate Solicitor in May 2007.
Veronica represents clients in a range of Employment Tribunal claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination, unlawful deductions from wages, breach of contract and claims brought under the National Minimum Wage Act and Working Time Regulations. Veronica also represents parties in Civil Court Proceedings relating to employment matters such as breaches of restrictive covenants.
Veronica advises on all employment issues including performance, misconduct, capability, redundancy, transfers of undertakings, maternity and parental rights, flexible working, discrimination and compromise agreements. Veronica also drafts employment documents including contracts of employment and company policies and procedure.
Veronica is a Trustee of Seven Stories Centre for Childrens Books and Age Concern North Tyneside. She is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
