Michael founded the firm in 1978 together with David Richardson and David Forth. He established and developed the firm's employment law department at a time when other firms often regarded employment as merely an adjunct to litigation or company commercial work.
Michael is the Secretary of the Newcastle Employment Tribunal Users Group.
